Tommy David Voncannon

Tommy David VonCannon, age 92, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 7, 2023.

Tommy was born on April 30, 1930, to Edgar Allen VonCannon and Florence Alma Hicks. He grew up in High Point, NC, attended High Point High School and had a lifelong career in woodworking, later retiring from Alma Desk Co. In 1947 he married Georgia Louise Snow and went on to have three children, David VonCannon (Janey) of Charlotte, Joy Brisson (Ron) of Rolesville, and Barry VonCannon (Diane) of Thomasville. Tommy lived a full life serving his Lord, spending time with his grandchildren, traveling, and playing golf.

He is survived by his wife, Georgia, three children, five grandchildren – Chris VonCannon (Mary), Beth Brisson, Nate Brisson (Ashley), Angela Simmons (Chris), Carol Ann VonCannon, and four great-grandchildren – Abbi VonCannon, Cole VonCannon, Micah VonCannon, and Lucie Brisson. He was preceded in death by eleven brothers and sisters.

Tommy was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle to his family. He enjoyed fellowshipping with his friends and neighbors and was a proud and patriotic American.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 11, 2023, in the High Point Chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations with Rev. Ron Brisson and Rev. Bobby Loving officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM prior to the service.
