Thomas Monroe Hedrick, 90, of High Point, died peacefully at Hospice Home of High Point on Saturday, August 3, 2019.

Born December 30, 1928, in Durham County, he was the son of the late James Everette Hedrick and the late Nettie Jackson Hedrick.   “Tommy” was a US Army veteran and retired after a long career at Burlington Industries.  He was a life time member of High Point Elk’s Lodge, the American Legion Post 87 and the  High Point Moose Lodge.  He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.

Tommy is survived by his wife, Lucille Webb Hedrick, of the home; daughters, Tammi Hedrick Wood and husband Chip of High Point, and Gail Hedrick Garrison and husband Snyder of Hickory; grandchildren, Trevor Hanes, Cory Hanes, and Thomas Garrison and Shannon Wood.  He is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Geneva Braica Cole and Janice Rich Webb; a niece, Kim Hedrick and husband Bruce Jardine; nephews, Jann Hedrick and wife Nancy, Bob Stout and wife Carol, Ray Stout and wife Gale, Frank Hedrick and wife Becky, John Braica and wife Amy, Jeff Braica, Mark Webb and wife Jerri; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James Houston Hedrick and George Hedrick; sister, Roberta Horn; brother-in-law, Lewis Andrew Webb; and grandson, Luke Garrison.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
