Terry Lee Pope, 73, of Archdale, passed away Sunday morning July 23, 2017, at his home.

Born August 20, 1943, in Davidson County, he was the son of the late Raymond Pope and the late Louise Sluder Pope. Mr. Pope was a retired self-employed plumber and a former Randolph County Deputy Sheriff. Mr. Pope attended Green Street Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Vickie Gilbert Pope of the home; son, Rev. Timothy Pope and wife Becky of Burlington, daughters, Wendy Jordan and husband Ken of Burlington, Lisa Spencer and husband Tony of Bennett, and Teresa Milks and husband Greg of Asheboro; step-children, Jimmy Kendall of Archdale, and Carrie Rodriquez of Thomasville; sisters, Laraine Cooksey and husband Fred of IN, and Martha Burt of GA; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Betty Cook and Jeanette Pope.

Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday. July 27, 2017 at Green Street Baptist Church with Rev. Timothy Pope officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park.

The Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM Thursday prior to the service at the church.
