Terry Wayne Cromer, 75, of Thomasville, passed away Monday, January 19, 2026 at Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born September 20, 1950, in High Point, he was the son of the late Harvey Cromer and the late Faye Boles Cromer.
Terry was a loving husband and father whose life was guided by a strong faith and a personal relationship with God. He actively lived out his faith through mission trips, service, and volunteer hours at The Summit Church. Terry enjoyed spending time with his family, playing golf, and cooking his infamous Terry Tales BBQ.
Terry was widely respected for his leadership and lifelong service to the electrical industry. Upon his recent retirement, he served as Executive Director of the North Carolina Association of Electrical Contractors (NCAEC), where he was a strong advocate, mentor, and voice for electrical contractors across the state. He previously served as a City of High Point Electrical Inspector and was a longtime leader within the Ellis Cannady Chapter of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors, including serving as president from 1994–1995. Throughout his career, Terry dedicated decades to education, code development, and professional advancement, assisting countless contractors in becoming qualified. He also generously volunteered his expertise with Habitat for Humanity, the Wounded Warrior Project, and many other community efforts.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 52 years, Pam Cromer; sons Michael Cromer (Paige) of Greensboro, GA, and Chad Cromer of Greensboro, NC; sister Cindy Smith; brothers Randy Cromer and Marvin Cromer; dear friends Daniel Gardner (Morgan); and many beloved nieces, nephews and great grand nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service will be 11:00AM Friday, January 30, 2026, at Green Street Baptist Church; 303 Rotary Drive, High Point, NC; with Daniel Gardner officiating. Following the service, family and friends are invited to a post-service gathering at Colonial Country Club; 7047 Colonial Club Drive, Thomasville, NC 27360.
In lieu of flowers, donations honoring Terry may be made to support mission trips and other ministry outreach activities. Memorial gifts may be made payable to The Summit Church, 4440 High Point Rd, Kernersville, NC 27284, Attn: Brenda Carico. Please reference “Memorial Gift Terry Cromer” in the memo line.
