Susan Kay (Cinege) Bino

Susan Kay Cinege Bino, 81, of High Point, passed away Monday, January 20, 2025, at Wesley Long Hospital.

Born August 6, 1943, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, she was a daughter to the late Andrew John Cinege and the late Irene Grace Hemsel Cinege. "Susan worked as a corporate and personal accountant for Wilmington Machinery and it’s president Russ LaBelle for nearly 50 years. During that time, she raised two children, managed family duties, and attended Guilford College as a part time scholar. She was awarded a BS in Administrative Science in 1960, and elected to “Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges” in her last year at Guilford. Her love of sewing found her with the High Point Quilt Guild, who collectively provided comfort quilts to numerous patients at the Hayworth Cancer Center. Every member of our extended family got lap quilts from her. Newlywed members got the king or queen versions, whereas their newly “born” received quilts for cribs. She leaves a quilted legacy. As a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church., she was a member of the International Club. Most recently, she was active with the "Bethany Society".

She is survived by her husband, Charles Bino of the home; son, Kenneth Bino; daughter, Janis McDonald (Timothy) of High Point; brother, Neil Cinege (Veronica) of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; sisters, Janice Taylor of Apache Junction, Arizona, and Linda Stubbs of Mesa, Arizona; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 12:00 PM Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with a Celebration of Life following the service in St. Edward’s Hall.

The family will visit with friends at 11:30 AM prior to the service.

Donations may be made in Susan’s name to: St. Jude’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105.
