Stuart Clarence Craven, 92, of High Point, passed away Friday, September 27, 2024, at his home.
He was born November 18, 1931, in Davidson County to the late Roby Jasper Craven and the late Beatrice Kennedy Craven.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ramona Shipwash Craven; sister Gearlene Caveness and brother-in-law, Bucky Caveness; sister -in-laws, June White, Jerri Chaney; and his nephew Eli Chaney.
Left to cherish his memory: his son, Phillip Craven (Robin); daughter, Crystal Skinner (Ronnie); grandchildren, Zac Craven (Alina), Mitchell Craven (Keyla), Amanda Suggs and Graylyn Smith (Brittany); and his great grandchildren, Addi, Roby, Austin (Maddie), Bradley, Torrie and Christyan; nieces, Judy and Karen.
Mr. Craven loved to drive and was retired from Overnite Transportation, he also worked for Bucks Wrecker Service, Hendrix Batting and Quality Packaging and he was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He also served as a fireman with the Hasty Fire Department.
Funeral service will be 11:00AM Wednesday, October 2, 2024, in the High Point Chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations with Rev. Chuck Garner officiating. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 6:00-7:30PM Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at the funeral home.
The family wishes to thank all of the caregivers that worked with Mr. Craven; Ronnie, Brittany, Megan, Carolyn, Amanda, Kim, Ashley, Larry, Brandy, Renee, and the Hospice of the Piedmont staff.
