Mr. Spencer Lee Mitchell made his transition from life to eternity on Tuesday morning, August 6, 2019 at Hospice of Piedmont in High Point, NC.  He was the son of the late Henry Mitchell and Cam Hall Mitchell.

Mr. Spencer Lee Mitchell worked at Morgan’s Poultry for 21 years.  He later went on to work at Jefferson Pilot now known as Lincoln Financial in Greensboro NC.  He worked there until his retirement.  He was an avid fisherman.  He loved playing horseshoes and being around family and friends.  He was always the life of the party spreading much laughter and joy to those around him.  He had a passion for singing and was a member of a quartet singing group.

Mr. Spencer Lee Mitchell joined Collins Grove United Methodist Church at an early age.  He was preceded in death by his siblings; Jessie Mitchell, Hugh Thomas Mitchell (Bessie), Annie Bell Mitchell, Henry Mitchell, and Marie W. Hughes.  He leaves loving and lasting memories to his daughter, Angela Lee Boykin (Pastor Lamar Boykin) and son, Bishop Terry L. Young (Geneva) and 4 grandchildren.  He leaves also a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Visitation will be Monday August 12, 2019 at 12pm followed by the Funeral Service at 1pm located at Collins Grove United Methodist Church, 5210 Collins Grove Church Rd, Greensboro, NC 27410.
