Robert Lee “Sonny” White, Jr., 55, of Summerfield, NC, went to meet his Heavenly Savior Wednesday, June 27, 2018.

Born February 24, 1963, in Guilford County, he was a son of Carol Jane Woods Kenney of Cary, NC and the late Robert Lee White, Sr. In 1981 he graduated from SW Guilford High School and then Stanley Technical Community College. Mr. White was a BioMedical Manager with Northern Hospital in Mt Airy. He was a lover of life, loved the outdoors and was a friend to all he met. Through the years he enjoyed golf, swimming, hiking, camping, skiing, and met many new friends along the way. He leaves behind many family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Lyla Dillon White of the home, brother, Adam Shawn White and wife Pamela of Trinity; step-mother, Anne White of High Point, step-sisters, Christy Richards and husband David of Whitsett, and Amie Richards and husband Ken of Kernersville; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; and a great-nephew.

Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 30, 2018, at Hilliard Memorial Baptist Church with Pastor Chris Thore, Pastor Chan Shaver, and Mr. Keith Gleason officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.
