John Wesley “Skip” Taylor, Jr.

John Wesley “Skip” Taylor, Jr., 71, of High Point, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2020, at Hospice Home at High Point.

Born June 13, 1948, in Guilford County, he was a son of Edna Marion Taylor of High Point and the late Dr. John Wesley Taylor, Sr.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Patricia Irwin Taylor of the home; daughters, Lynn McPherson of Kernersville, and Karen Taylor of Florida; sister, Sue Moore of High Point; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, John Wesley “Trey” Taylor, III.

Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Tuesday, January 7, 2020, in Abbotts Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Billy Scism and Rev. Jerry Whiteheart officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.
