Silverio Gonzales, 95, of Greensboro, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Hospice Home at High Point.
Born January 11, 1927, in Potosi, Bolivia, he was a son of the late Julian Gonzales and the late Luisa Fulla de Gonzales. At the age of seventeen, Silverio committed his life to Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. In his mid-twenties he met Candelaria Quintanilla, they were married for more than sixty-four years. The Lord blessed them with four children, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pastor Gonzales served Christ for more than seventy years spreading the gospel and planting churches in Bolivia his homeland, Colombia, Venezuela and USA.
He is survived by his wife, Candelaria Gonzales; children; Juan Daniel Gonzales, Betzabe Colmenares, David Gonzales, and Elias Gonzales; daughter in law, Nereida Gonzales; son in law, Lucas Colmenares; grandchildren, Jenifer Agentis and James Agentis III, Andrea and Drew Palko, Daniel Alcantara, Lucas and Celeste Colmenares, Daniela Gonzales, Sofia and Terry Thompson II and Daniel Gonzales; great-grandchildren, Terry Thompson III, Jeremiah Boone and Elior Colmenares.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Life Community Church on Wendover Ave. with Rev. Chad Grayson officiating. Burial will follow in Guil-Rand Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM prior to the service at the church.
