Sidney Porter Williams, 80, of Archdale, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018, at Wesley Long Hospital.

Born November 26, 1937, in Randolph County, he was the son of the late Alson Clifford Williams and the late Edith Gunter Williams. Mr. Williams was a US Army veteran and retired from Reids Trailer. Mr. Williams was a longtime member of Glenola Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Lula Edmonds Williams of the home; daughter, Susan Ware and husband Connel of Greensboro; sisters, Rebecca Bulla of Greensboro, NC; and Ruby Reid of Salisbury; grandchildren, Brock Ware and Sharon Ware.

Memorial services will be conducted at 4:00 PM Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Glenola Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Steen and Rev. Don Skelton officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.
