Shirley Mae (Wood) Jones

Shirley Mae Wood Jones, 91, of Thomasville, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at the Pine Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born January 6, 1934, in Lynchburg, Virginia to the late Milton Walker Wood and to the late Virginia Milholand Wood.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dallas Jones (May 1, 2003); brothers, Milton Wood, Benny Wood, Cary Wood, Charles Wood and George Wood; and her sisters, Virginia Bibb, Odell Wood and Jean Guhr.

Mrs. Jones and her husband were members of Hayworth Wesleyan Church in High Point. She was a school bus driver for the Guilford County School System.

Left to cherish her memory; her daughters, Patsy Robertson and husband Mike of Thomasville, Penny Adams of High Point, and Lisa Mullinax of Hilton Head, SC; grandchildren, Stephen Robertson (Stephanie), Deborah Kellison, Benjamin Jones (Mary), Mandy Dill, Rachel Draughn, Hunter Mullinax (Hannah), Leilani Nelson (Cam), Dakota Mullinax (Carrington) and Austin Mullinax; great grandchildren, Cierra, Thomas, Baden, Alex, Lalaina, and Emerson; and her great great granddaughter, Sadie.

Memorial services will be conducted at 1:30 PM Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Hayworth Wesleyan Church.

The family will visit with friends following the service.
