Shirley Hodges Faucette

Shirley Hodges Faucette, 83, of Kernersville, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Hospice Home at High Point.

Born July 2, 1940, in Durham, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Hodges and the late Shirley Gulley Hodges.  Shirley worked in retail sales and was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church in Walkertown.

She is survived by a son, David Parrish of Kernersville; daughter, Sherri McMahan (Tony) of Jamestown; brothers, Charles Hodges of Kernersville and Thomas Hodges (Diane) of Archdale; sister, Linda Kindley of High Point; grandchildren, Brian Parrish, Amanda Parrish, Amanda Cason, Vicki Mantz (Josh) and Kasey Osborne (Kenny); and eight great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Faucette, and sisters, Virginia Blakely and Sandy Hilton.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 16, 2023, in the chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations, High Point with Rev. Frank Shumate officiating with burial following at Floral Garden Park Cemetery.

The family will visit with friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM prior to the service.
