Shirley Mabe Dawkins

Shirley Marion Mabe Dawkins, 91, of High Point, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2026, in the Kernersville Medical Center.

Born July 14, 1935, in High Point, she was a daughter of the late Marion Wakefield Mabe and the late Viola Ruth Jane Ridge Mabe.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Raymond Dawkins, Jr., her grandson, Chad Blakely, and her brothers, Allen Ray Mabe, and Ronnie Mabe.

Arrangements are incomplete and a full obituary is forthcoming.

Left to cherish her memory; her sons, Arnold Blakely (Vicki), David Blakely (Tanya Davis), and John Dawkins III (Kristi); daughter, Patricia Scarbrough (Ed); grandchildren, Chris Blakely, Amy Hollar, April Ingram, Michelle Marion, Brandon Blakely, Brent Blakely, Shana Coe, JulieAnne Dawkins, Kylie Dawkins, KatieBeth Dawkins, and Jaxton Dawkins; and brother, Michael Mabe (MaryAnne).
