Shelburn (Sa) Arnold Walker Jr.

Shelburn Arnold Walker Jr. (SA), 69, passed away February 21, 2020 in Randleman, NC.

SA was born in Ellerbe, NC to Eunice Spencer Walker and Shelburn Arnold Walker Sr. on June 12, 1950.  He married his beautiful wife Joy Edwards on May 12, 2001 and they were able to celebrate 19 wonderful years together. He worked in the Furniture industry for Jack Cartwright Furniture for 39 years.  He was a member of New Heights Baptist Church in Trinity, NC. He was proud to be a Christian and loved to listen to all Southern Gospel Music. You could always find SA at a festival setup in a booth selling many different items that he had collected over the years. He did love Nascar racing but most of all he loved spending time with his family. He was the type of guy that always wore a smile and made the people around him smile as well. He will truly be missed by his family and friends.

SA is preceded in death by his mother Eunice Spencer Walker, his father Shelburn Arnold Walker Sr., his brother Danny Lee Walker and his sister Maria Walker Stalker.

SA is survived by his wife Joy Edwards Walker, his sons Jonathan Rich (Cindy), Curt Lawson (Michelle), and Russell Lawson (Wendy), his sisters Faye Gaines and Annie Lucas, his grandchildren Andy, Courtney, Ashton, and Jordan, his great grandchildren Declan and Graham, a special niece Christy (Gary), a special nephew Cortland and several other nieces and nephews as well.

The visitation will be at 11:30am Thursday, Feb 27, 2020 followed by the Funeral Service at 1 p.m. at New Heights Baptist Church located at 5082 Meadowbrook Drive, Trinity, NC 27370. The committal service will follow at Glenola Baptist Church Cemetery located at 8330 US Highway 311 Archdale, NC 27263.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Hardy, Andrew Lawson, Bryan Clark, Greg Holifield, Grady Holifield, and Tracy Jacobs.
