Sheila Lorraine (Miller) Holmes

Shelia Miller Holmes

Shelia was born on December 12, 1958, in Green Sea SC, and passed away on February 22, 2024, in High Point NC. She was the daughter of the late Jesse, and Gennette Miller.

Shelia will always be remembered for her exceptional talent in interior design, and her

passion for creating beautiful spaces. Shelia's dedication to her craft led her to pursue a degree

in interior design at Randolph Community College, where she honed her skills, and developed a keen eye for aesthetics.Throughout her career, Shelia's work as an interior decorator took her far, and wide, allowing her to explore different cultures, and styles, leaving a lasting impact wherever she went. Her innate

creativity, and attention to detail set her apart in the industry, earning her a well-deserved

reputation as a renowned decorator.

In addition to her professional success, Shelia cherished her family dearly. She was preceded in

death by her beloved husband, Josiah Holmes, as well as her brothers’ Jesse Jr. and Marvin Miller.

Shelia is survived by her loving children, daughter Avis Miller, and son Courtland Pemberton, along with her cherished granddaughter, Caitlyn Pemberton. She also leaves behind a close-knit

family of nine siblings - Ivey Miller (Margarett), Shirley Shaw, Voncile Quick (Hubert), Carolyn

Johnson (Sammy), Priscilla Miller, Rodney Miller (Delores), Barbara Miller, Cindy Batton (Willie), and Harriet Hayes - who shared a special bond with her.

Shelia's warm spirit and creative soul touched the lives of many, including her nieces, nephews,

cousins, and friends who held a special place in her heart. Her legacy of beauty, kindness, and love

will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 25, 2024, in the High Point Chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations with Reverend Williams officiating.

The family will visit with friends following the service.
