Sharon Kay (Owens) Helms

Sharon Kay Owens Helms, 59, of Trinity, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021, at the home of her son.

Born December 17, 1961, in Old Salem, she was a daughter of the late Stuart Owens, Sr. and the late Doris Ann Southerns Clewis. Sharon was a homemaker and former paralegal. She found her greatest pleasure in spending time with her grandbabies.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Dale Helms of the home, sons, Jeremy Flores (Alicia) of Wallburg, Dakota Helms (Kayla Smith) of Ramseur, and Dylan Helms (Sierra Call) of Trinity; brothers, Stuart Owens of Ohio, and Michael Allred (Erin) of Thomasville; sisters, Cathy Osborne (Curtis) of Trinity, Anna Owens of Silver Valley, Linda Owens of Ohio, and Priscilla Santos (Ruben) of Ohio; grandchildren, Taylor, Jasper, Stacie, Daisy, Gabriel, Addy, Luna, Draco, and Klayton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Debbie Jones.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 28, 2021, in the chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations with Pastor Alan Cox officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM prior to the service.
