Sara Perry Brown, 85, of High Point, passed away Monday, August 14, 2017, at the Meridian Center.

Born November 23, 1931, in Guilford County, the sixth of seven children of the late Calvin Perry and the late Edith Black Perry. Mrs. Brown was a graduate of Trinity High School where she was valedictorian of her class. Mrs. Brown was a retired bookkeeper at Davis Mill with thirty years of service and a member of Green Street Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son Johnny R. Brown and wife Karen of Kensington, CA.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, August 25, 2017 in the Gathering Room of Wright Cremation & Funeral Service with Rev. C.W. Moss officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hayes Barton Baptist Church, 1800 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh, NC 27608.
