Sandra Gordon Hall, 81, of High Point, NC, passed away peacefully Wednesday August 30, 2017, following a brief period of declining health at Hospice Home at High Point.
A celebration of Sandra's life will begin at 3:00 pm Saturday, September 2, 2017, at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Concord. A private graveside service will follow at the gravesite of the late Roger Hall at Bethlehem Presbyterian Church in Monroe.
Sandra was born January 28, 1936 in Kannapolis, NC to the late Troy Gordon and Ruth Overcash Gordon. She was preceded in death by her husband of twenty-two years, Roger M. Hall. After graduating from A.L. Brown High School, Sandra attended Pfeiffer College where she met and married her first husband Richard S. Biddy of High Point, and continued on to finish her degree at the University of North Carolina Charlotte receiving a B.S. in Sociology. Sandra was a great example of helping others, especially children. She worked for many years as a Director for Social Services of Cabarrus County. In her retirement years, Sandra loved spending time at the beach with her children, grandchildren and beloved Shih Tzu, Buddy. She was a veracious reader and loved solving crossword puzzles. She will be remembered for her smile and extended love for peace within her family.
Survivors include her son, Todd Biddy and wife, Dawn Cook Biddy of Concord, NC; daughter Jennifer Biddy and partner, Richard Parker of High Point, NC; three grandchildren, Shawn Morgan and partner Nikki Beaver of Concord, NC, Drew Biddy of Concord, NC, Hunter Biddy of CA; three great-grandchildren; brother, Mike Gordon and wife Peggy of Ararat, NC; nephew, Troy Gordon of New Haven, CT; stepdaughter, Melissa Hall Chaney of Asheboro, NC; and stepson, Ricky Hall of Kernersville, NC; seven step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by stepsons, Dale Hall of Surfside Beach SC, and Scotty Hall of Monroe, NC.
The family would like to thank her friends and staff at Stratford Retirement Community in High Point, NC where she resided. And a big thanks you to the staff of Hospice Home at High Point who cared for her during her brief stay.
