Sandra Skeen Davis

March 5, 1951 - July 10, 2020

Sandra “Sandy” Skeen Davis was born on March 5, 1951, in Randolph County, NC to Noah Rufus Skeen and Lucille Lanier Skeen who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband, Tommy Davis, her daughter, Kelli D.  Harrell and husband, Forrest, and son Kevin Davis, all of Archdale, NC.  Grandchildren are Kameron and Abby Davis and Grace and Emma Harrell.  Surviving siblings include Everette “Chipper” and Vicki Skeen, Joyce and Ernest Mangum, Wayne and Carol Skeen, Dean and Donna Skeen and Kenneth and Madorie Skeen.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

As a young woman and mother, she worked many hours a day on the family chicken farm. Sandy was an amazing cook who loved to bake cakes and other goodies for family and friends.  She retired from the Randolph County Sherriff’s department where she worked as a kitchen manager in the detention center.  There, she encouraged inmates to make a better life for themselves.  She was an avid Duke basketball fan and enjoyed shopping online for her family.  She was a faithful member of Sophia United Church of Christ and Marlboro Friends Meeting.  She was a godly woman, faithful wife, devoted mother and will be missed by all who knew her.

The family will have a private service at Marlboro Friends Meeting cemetery.  The family request no flowers be sent.  Memorials may be made to Marlboro Friends Meeting at www.marlborofriends.org or mailed to 2668 Marlboro Church Road, Sophia, NC 27350.
