Samuel Ayers Mccollum Iii

Samuel "Sam" Ayers McCollum III, 82, of Jamestown, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Pennybyrn.

He was born July 10, 1942, in Guilford County, to the late Samuel Ayers McCollum II, and to the late Pauline Sessoms Everhart.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Autry McCollum, after 59 years of marriage, and his daughter, Paula Lynn McCollum.

Sam served in the United States Marine Corps and retired after 21 years of service to our country.

Left to cherish his memory; his daughter, Deborah McCollum Gomez and husband Diego of Greensboro; and granddaughter, Isabella McCollum-Gomez.

Funeral Service will be 10:00AM Friday, February 7, 2025, in the Wright Funerals-Cremations, High Point Chapel.

Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery.
