Sadie Loraine Surratt Taylor, 87, of High Point, went to Heaven Friday, February 21, 2020.

Born July 7, 1932, in Sylvatus, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Hermon Shelby Surratt and the late Stella Ogle Surratt.  Sadie was an upholstery sewer at Swaim Originals and volunteered at High Point Medical Center where she knitted baby hats.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond Clifford Taylor of the home; daughters, Angela Dobbins (Gary) of High Point, Dana Long (Tim) of Winston Salem, and Cindy Watson (Chip Hopkins) of Thomasville; brothers, Fred Surratt (Betty) of Virginia, Maynard Surratt (Becky) of Advance, Roger Surratt and Steve Surratt (Gerri) both of Walnut Cove; sister, Elsie Cole of Advance; grandchildren, Tracy, Brad, Jaclyn, Joni, Lauren, Logan, and Luke; great-grandchildren, Ally, Anna, Aubrey, Harrison, Sawyer, Nolan, Davis, Gracie, Ellie, Rosie, Abe, Grayson, and Levi; great-great-granddaughter, Ivy; and her fur animal, Molly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Duane Taylor.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, February 24, 2020, at Westchester Baptist Church with Rev. Eric Peacock officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM prior to the service.
