Ruthie Mae (Mcclure) Tomlin

Mrs. Ruthie Mae McClure Hicks Tomlin, 80, of High Point, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025, at her home.

Born February 26, 1945, in Cherokee County, NC; she was a daughter of the late Ernest McClure, and the late Myrtle McClure. She married James Edward Tomlin on July 17, 1987, and they celebrated 38 years together.

She is survived by her husband, James Tomlin of the home; son Larry Hicks (Sarah); daughters, Teresa Leviner (James), and Pamela Parrish; grandchildren, Brittany Olivey (Brandon), Haven Hall, Katelin Hall, Jaylene Hall, Kayah Gayle, Regina Griggs (Johnny), Dylan Parrish (Mandy), and Robin Campbell; great grandchildren, Cohen, Coulter and Daniel; sisters, Ruby Lee and Roberta Owenby (Mitchell); and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Crystal Leviner Johnson, and her brothers, Ray McClure, Bud McClure, Richard McClure, and Roy McClure.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, April 24, 2025, in the Archdale chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations with the Reverend Houston Tilley and the Reverend Mitchell Owenby officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM prior to the service.

Burial will follow at Guil-Rand Memorial Park Cemetery.
