Ruby Richardson Pierce

Ruby Richardson Pierce, 74, of Thomasville, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023, at her home.

Born February 7, 1948, in Guilford County, she was a daughter of the late Harry Binford Richardson and the late Myrtle Smith Richardson. Ruby was a retired cafeteria worker with Thomasville City Schools.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Pierce of the home; daughter, Karen Dutton (Deron Everhart) of Thomasville; sisters, Helen Hobbs and husband Ed of Kernersville, Louise Jones and husband Bo of Jamestown, Judy Hiatt and husband David of Winston-Salem, and Juanita Parker and husband Thomas of Wilmington; grandchildren, Mads Dutton, Bailey Dutton, and Carey Everhart.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Richardson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 24, 2023, in the High Point Chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations with Rev. C.W. Moss officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.
