Ruby Wardlaw Nance, 85, of Piedmont Crossing, passed away Monday, February 1, 2016.

Born September 26, 1930 in Davidson County, she was a daughter of the late William Fulton Wardlaw and the late Martha Lamb Wardlaw. Mrs. Nance was employed at Kaby Hosiery Mill and Liberty House Dietary Dept. in her later years. She attended God’s Harvest Worship Center and on October 9, 1946 married Charlie Odell Nance who predeceased her in 2014.

Mrs. Nance is survived by her sons, John Nance and wife Marilyn of Trinity, and Tom Nance and wife Kim of Thomasville; daughters, Sherry Bumgarner and husband Pete of Thomasville, Martha Jo Hill and husband Jimmy of Denton and Gina Fidler and husband Scott of Raleigh; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a special cousin Rick Saunders.

Graveside services will be conducted at 12:00 PM Thursday, February 4, 2016 in Holly Hill Memorial Park with Rev. Joe Beane and Rev. Pete Bumgarner officiating.

The family will be at the home of her daughter, Sherry Bumgarner, 2610 Tree Hollow Ext., Thomasville, prior to and following the service.
