Ross Robinson Smith

Ross Carter Smith died June 16, 2026. She was born August 11, 1932, in Gaston County to the late James Ross Robinson and the late Bonnie Burchfield Robinson.

In August 1951, she married Bobby E. Carter. They resided in Dallas, NC where they raised their three children. After Bob’s death in 1974, Ross married Craig Smith in 1976. Their joining brought two stepchildren into her family circle.

Ross was preceded in death by her beloved son, Donald Kyle Carter.

Surviving are her husband, Craig, daughter, Karen, son, Jimmy, daughter-in-law, Lek, sister, Billy, sister, Joey, stepson, Chris, and stepdaughter, Koren. Ross was a proud grandmother and great grandmother.

Ross was a longtime member of Green Street Baptist in High Point. She enjoyed traveling, playing games, entertaining friends, and meeting people; (she never met a stranger). She was a true "foodie", a devoted friend and neighbor.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Wright Funerals at 1720 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC.

The family will greet friends and family immediately following the services.
