Roger Dale Potter

Roger Dale Potter, 69, of Archdale, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 9, 2022, at the Hospice Home at High Point.

He was born April 16, 1953 in Elizabethton, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Rueben Roosevelt Potter and the late Dorothy Price Potter Pruitt. Roger was a graduate of Allen Jay High School and briefly attended High Point Univeristy. He was President of the student council, treasurer of his senior class, member of the Beta Club, and Boy's State of his senior class. Roger was nominated for the Most Outstanding Senior and was a Mr. Allen-Jay-Hi runner-up.

Roger was retired from Greensboro Tire and Automotive. He was a member of High Point Family Worship Center. He enjoyed spending time with his family, reading a good book, and was an avid Tar-Heel fan.

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his step-father, Thomas Pruitt; and baby brother Terrance Potter.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 25 years, Angela Potter of the home; daughter, Rebekah Potter of the home; sons, Joshua Potter (Caren), Jordon Potter (Emily), Jaired Potter; brother, Mike Potter (Shelia); grandchildren, Isabella, Lucas, Jonathan, and Carrington.

A celebration of Roger's life will be held at High Point Family Worship Center at 4:00 PM on Saturday, May 14, 2022 with Rev. Bryan Adkins and Rev. Barton Adkins officiating.

The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to the doctors, nurses, and aids of Wake Forest High Point Regional Medical Center and the Hospice Home at High Point and to the member of High Point Family Worship Center for their steadfast care and dedication to the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to the Hospice Home at High Point and/or the High Point Family Worship Center.
