Robin Douglas Burrow 66, of High Point, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 28th, 2022, at Henrico Doctors' Hospital in Richmond, Virginia.
A celebration of life will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, January 12th, 2023, at Wright Funeral-Cremation chapel in High Point, NC. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
Going by Doug all his life, he was born on March 13, 1956, in High Point, North Carolina, a son of Nadine Burrow and Ray Burrow. A resident of High Point most of his life, he graduated from T. Wingate Andrews Senior High School. Doug went on to spend his life in the printing industry. At the time of his death Doug Burrow was co owner of Wayne Trademark Printing and Packaging in Asheboro, NC, with his brother Gary Burrow. In December of 2022, he celebrated his 50-year work anniversary. He recently moved to Richmond, Virginia with his partner, Yvonne Blessing. He wanted to embrace the local culture and history through new destinations. He was looking forward to Virginia mountain bike and beach rides. He had many loves in his life. The beach was always one of them as he always said it was his happy place. He loved anything outdoors and had recently hiked the Virginia portion of the Appalachian Trail with his sons. Anytime he was on a golf course he was happy. He loved his daily Starbucks runs as well as anything on the History or National Geographic channel. His biggest love were his kids, family, and friends. Doug also loved to serve his community as he served on the board for both the American Red Cross and The United Way.
He was preceded in Death by his mother Nadine Burrow, father Ray Burrow, sister Linda Burrow Oxford, and nephew Gary Ray Burrow Jr.
Surviving is his partner, Yvonne Blessing; Son Christopher Robin Burrow and Jessica Leonard; Son Jason Burrow and Misty Causey; Daughter Gina-Robyn Burrow; Daughter Haley Burrow; Brother Gary Burrow and wife, Rhonda Burrow, Sister Kellie Holbrook and Husband, George; Granddaughter Kontessa Causey, Grandson Jamon Smothers.
