Robert William Westmoreland

Robert “Bob” William Westmoreland, 78, of Trinity, passed away Monday, January 6, 2025, at his home.

Born August 9, 1946, in Davidson County, he was a son of the late Jack Westmoreland and the late Margie Euala Smith. Bob graduated from East Davidson High School in 1964 and went on to serve in the U S Air Force. He was a manager of Lowe’s Hardware and  was of Christian faith.

He is survived by his sons, Darren Westmoreland (Melissa) and Brett Westmoreland, both of Trinity; daughter, Amy Lambert of Trinity; sister Louise Ethridge (Walter) of Randleman; grandchildren, Taylor Maldonado (Melissa) and Leona Rae Dungan; and niece, Pam Hopkins (Todd).

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Westmoreland, who passed away August 4, 2023; brother, Jack Allen Westmoreland and sister, Gail Atchinson.

His wishes were for his body to be donated to the Wake Forest School of Medicine.

Contributions may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont.

Private services will be at a later date.
