Robert Moses Staples

Robert Moses Staples, 95, of Thomasville, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Kernersville Medical Center.

Born October 30, 1930, in East Stroudsburg, PA., he was the son of the late Moses U. Staples and the late Ruth Romain Tiby Staples. Robert worked as a foreman in the composing room of printing companies and also a veteran in the United States Army and served in the Korean Conflict. He was a loving father, grandfather, and a good man.

He is survived by his daughter, Lea Shick (Arthur) of Thomasville; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Barbara Dean of Henderson, New York.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Staples and son, William Dean.

Private services will be held at a later date at Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, North Carolina.
