Robert Lee Slate

Robert Lee Slate, 83, of High Point, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022, at High Point Medical Center.

Born August 17, 1938, in Guilford County, he was the son of the late Hobert Slate and the late Janeate Lloyd Slate.  Robert was a welder in metal fabrication. He served our country faithfully in the United States Army and was very proud of his military service.

He is survived by his wife of sixty- three years, Janice Bradshaw Slate; daughters, Paula Stone (Stephen) and Amanda Wall (Richard); grandchildren, Jonathan Stone (Leia), Sarah Wall (Matthew Mock), Ashley Stone and Katie Wall; great granddaughter, Abigail Mock.

A celebration of Robert’s life will be held at a later date.
