Robert "Robbie" Shane Benton, 50, of High Point, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, August 3, 2024.
He was born February 21, 1974, in Thomasville.
Survived by Son, Dylan Benton of High Point, Father, Samuel Benton, Mother, Kay Benton, Brothers David Benton (Gretchen) of Lexington, Todd Byrd (Morgan) of Mebane.
He was the owner of Minute Men Stump Grinding Service. He was the best around. He was well loved by everyone he met.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cleveland Benton (Oakley) and Harvey Slack (Kathleen), Carl Sarvis (Gladys).
He loved shooting his guns with his son, Dylan, playing his guitar, reading his Bible, and fishing. Robbie was also a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan. Robbie and his son Dylan were rebuilding an 83 Mustang Race car together. Robbie loved working on cars and loved his son Dylan.
The Lord gave him a vision and he gave his heart to the Lord that night right there in his living room on November 11, 2015.
All family and friends are welcome to help us celebrate his life. Robbie was loved and will truly be missed by everyone. He is gone way too soon and we will never understand the inner struggles he faced. Some things are hard to understand but it leaves us to realize the importance of family and friends.
Celebration of life service Friday, August 9th @ 6:00 pm at Thomasville Church of God; 1200 W Holly Hill Road, Thomasville, NC.
Wright Funerals-Cremations, High Point, is assisting the family.
