Robert Glenn Leonard

Robert G. Leonard, of High Point, NC passed away September 10, 2022, with his family by his side.

He was predeceased by his parents, Susie Kilgore Leonard and Jacob Semore Leonard, of Salem, Virginia, and his siblings, Sue, Carlton, and Colonel Dan Leonard and his wife, Gail Marie Key Leonard.

Bob was very proud of both of his alma maters, Roanoke College, and Virginia Tech.  He served his county as an Army Medic in the Army and later was the Vice President of Advertising of Bassett Furniture Industries for many decades.  He was active in leadership in the Kiwanis.  The Salvation Army and various other service organizations and a former member of Green Street Baptist Church, Pocahontas Bassett Baptist Church, New Dublin Presbyterian Church, and Salem Baptist Church in Virginia.  Bob was an extremely gifted artist and painter who generously shared and taught his Art to others.

He is survived by his children who adored him, Rella Elizabeth Leonard, and her son, Nathan Robert Alexander Leo; son, Robert Nathan Key Leonard and his wife Tammy, and children, Cassandra, Tatyana and Kayla.

A memorial service will be planned at a later time in Virginia.

Bob will be forever missed with his steadfast presence.
