Robert Earl Smith

Robert Earl Smith, 85, of High Point, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021, at High Point Medical Center.

Born January 30, 1936, in Conway, NC, he was the son of the late Sam Smith and the late Lois Boyce Smith. Robert was an electrical engineer. He was a faithful member of First Wesleyan Church of High Point, and a former longtime member and elder at Forrest Hills Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by sons, Steve Smith (Karen) of Wake Forest, Richard Gregory Smith (Louise) of Falls Church, VA; daughter, Cathy denBoer (Pete) of Woodstock, GA; grandchildren, Ben Smith (Elizabeth), Jennifer Smith, Meredith Godbee (Richard), Angela denBoer, Rachel Smith, Arthur Smith; and great-grandchildren, Harrison Smith, and Evelyn Smith.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife Betty Jean Longstreet Smith.

He will be inurned at the Forrest Hills Presbyterian Church Columbarium.
