Robert Leo Calhoun, 88, of Jamestown, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Hospice Home at High Point.

Born April 26, 1928 in Tulsa, OK, he was a son of the late Albert C. Calhoun and the late Rachael Bell Alexander Calhoun. Mr. Calhoun was a US Navy Veteran serving in WWII and was a retired supervisor with the City of Oakland, California Public Works.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Ona Mae Carpenter Calhoun; sons, Herbert Calhoun, Alvin Calhoun, Vincent Calhoun and David Calhoun; ten grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Reggie Calhoun.

A funeral liturgy will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Fr. Vincent E. Smith, O.S.F.S. officiating. Burial will be in Haywood, California.

The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 AM prior to the service at the church.
