Richard Eugene Stargardt, Jr.

Richard Eugene Stargardt, 52, of Lexington, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at his home.

Born June 19, 1971, in Richmond, Virginia, he was a son of Rebecca McReynolds Stargardt of Thomasville and the late Richard Eugene Stargardt, Sr.

Richard was a carpenter, previously a volunteer fireman for his community and a man of many talents. He dedicated his life to helping others. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and "picking" at the flea markets. He loved his family, friends and his favorite little dog Super Roo Roo.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife April Rogers Stargardt of the home; son, Cory Stargardt (Heather Pace) of Greensboro; daughter, Cassi Hoogkamp (Hunter) of Lexington; brothers, Sabian Stargardt (Stacy) of Stokesdale, and Kevin Stargardt (Trish) of Trinity; sisters, Lisa McCall of Trinity, Tammy Davis (Ricky) of Thomasville, Kathy Stargardt of Thomasville, and Christine Pennington (David) of Delaware; grandchildren, Cayden Stargardt and Jack Ehrmantraut.

Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Oak Hollow Festival Park Shelters 3 & 4 with Clint Kearns officiating.

Wright Funerals-Cremations, High Point is in charge of arrangements.
