Richard Claude Reavis, of High Point passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at High Point Regional Hayworth Cancer Center.

Born in Davidson County, he was the son of the late R. C. Reavis and the late Bessie Trogdon Reavis.  Richard retired after working in the Electrical Contracting business.  Sharing his gift of playing the guitar was his passion and he will be missed by family and friends.

Richard is survived by Rickey O’Connor of the home, daughter, Donna Madden and husband Rick, sisters, Ethel Carter and Pansy Hayworth.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Ruby Dowell, Myrtle Blackburn, Mable Wyatt, Elsie Siske and Ruth Kimble; and brothers, Odis Reavis, Fred Reavis, Floyd Reavis and Hubert Reavis.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 8, 2016 in the Gathering Room of Wright Cremation & Funeral Service with Rev. Doug Caldwell officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.
