Richard Carl Campbell, 86, of Lexington, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022, at his home.
Born, October 7, 1935, in Bristol, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Carl Banner Campbell and the late Ethel Worley Campbell. He faithfully served his country in the United States Army. Richard was also skilled carpenter and spent many years in the construction industry.
Richard, a simple man, who appreciated the simple aspects of life, enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching his favorite show "Gun Smoke", and spending time with his unique family. Respected and loved by his friends and family who felt his kindhearted integrity, Richard Carl Campbell will remain honored by his loving family.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lucy Edwards Campbell, and sons; Richard Kyle Campbell, David Allen Peeler; and daughter, Debbie Anne Peeler.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Linda Carol Bellow, Connie Campbell Hunt (Gary), June Campbell Worley (Scott), Patty Campbell (Sam); and his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 1, 2022 in the chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations, High Point with Rev. Ray Whittington officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 30, 2022.
A private burial will be held at Salisbury National Cemetery.
