Richard Lewis Boberg

Richard "Dick" Lewis Boberg, 86, of Greensboro, N.C., passed away on April 18, 2020, in Greensboro.

Richard was born in Oak Park, Ill., to Judith and Stanley Boberg Feb. 8, 1934. He was married to Carol Darlington Boberg. He worked as the Parts Manager for Ford Motor Company and was a member of the Local 701 Union.

Richard was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. His family and friends remember him as an extraordinarily kind, loving and good man. He adored his family and would always go the extra mile for others. Richard had a special touch with animals and loved his dog, Fritz, and cat, Alex, beyond measure. He led a full life with many intriguing,exciting and fun experiences and seemed to have experienced it all! He had a special way of entertaining people with his wonderful stories and anecdotes, bringing smiles to the faces of all those fortunate enough to listen. He was loved by many and will truly be missed.

Richard is preceded in death by his mother, Judith BrodinBoberg; his father, Stanley Boberg; his brother, Robert Boberg;and his sister-in-law, Suzanne Darlington Ruggiero.

Richard is survived by his wife, Carol Darlington Boberg; his daughter, Carol Anne Boberg (Daniel); his son, Donald Lewis Boberg; his stepson, Eric Darlington (Jolene); his step-grandchildren, Jessica Diamond (Jordan), Samantha Darlington, Eric Darlington Jr., Darren Darlington and Duke Darlington; his step great-grandchildren, Ella and Maddie Diamond; and his brother-in-law, Sebastian Ruggiero.

Richard is also survived by nieces Jean Burda (Ronald), Roberta Coldgrove (David), Tina Niemiec, Jennifer Ruggiero (Stephen) and their daughters, Melissa Ruggiero and Maddy McPherson;his nephews, William Vill and Frank Ruggiero (Megan) and their son, Milo Ruggiero. He also leaves behind several cousins and many friends, as well as his beloved pets, Fritz and Alex.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time and date.
