Rev. Roy Green

Rev. Roy Harrison Green, 101, of High Point, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Hospice Home at High Point.

Born May 6, 1924, in Moore County, he was a son of the late Benjamin Harrison Green and the late Annie McCollum Green. Roy was a US Navy veteran serving during WWII on the USS Amsterdam. He was the former owner of Green TV and Appliance prior to being called to the ministry. Roy was the Pastor of Bethel Baptist Church serving for thirty-eight years.

He is survived by his sons, Steven Green and wife Sandy of Thomasville, and David Green and wife Levon of Myrtle Beach; daughter, Donise Bailey and husband Richard of High Point; grandchildren, Marc Green, Shawn Green, Shad Green, Stacy G. Paschal, Misty Poteat, April Dominy, and Lindsey Maffeo; eighteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of seventy-two years, Margaret Johnson Green; four brothers, and four sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Bethel Baptist Church. Burial will be Monday at Floral Garden Park.

The family will receive friends following the service.
