Rev. Bob Summers

Reverend “Bob” Lee Summers, 91, of Thomasville, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, March 22, 2026, at his home.

Born May 22, 1934, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, he was a son of the late Clarence William Summers, and the late Mary Loretta Quill Summers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Summers.

Rev. Summers is the former pastor of Pilot View Baptist Church in Thomasville. Prior to moving to NC in 2004, he taught High School and College in West Virigina; he also coached football, basketball and baseball.

Left to cherish his memory; his wife, Jeanie Summers of the home; daughters, Sherri Smith and husband Harold of Parkersburg, WV, and Tammi Lamb and husband Scott of Thomasville; grandchildren, Jared Maynard and wife Tara, Joanna Manifee, Jacob Lamb and wife Bethany, Tawni Lamb and Jonah Lamb; great grandchildren, Hadley Maynard, Everley Maynard, Jaheem Payne, Aurie Payne and Olivia Lamb; brother, Jim Summers; sister, Betty Jackson; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Service of Remembrance will be at Pilot View Baptist Church and will be scheduled soon.
