Reba Hicks Ferree

Reba Hicks Ferree passed peacefully to her home in heaven at Piedmont Christian Home in High Point, NC on May 28, 2020, at the age of 95.

Reba was born on March 28, 1925, to the late Ina and Otis Hicks of Henrietta, NC.

Reba loved to cook family meals and desserts. She always had food in her kitchen for her family to share. She enjoyed completing crossword puzzles and visiting with family and friends.

Reba worked as a bank teller in Forest City, NC and later with Moon Real Estate in Burlington, NC. She and her husband Max were active members at Oakview Methodist Church in High Point. She was a devoted mother, grandmother (MawMaw) and great MawMaw and enjoyed babysitting her grandsons Chris and Stephen when they were young. Her 5 great-grandchildren, Duke, Piper, Ruby, Brooklyn, and Stephen Max III were the loves of her life.

Reba is survived by her son, Steve (Bette), grandsons Christopher (Anita) and Stephen (Martha) and 11 nieces and nephews.

Reba was preceded in death by her husband, Max and 6 sisters and brothers, Arrie Robbins (J.D.), Joann Hicks Taylor, Jane Hamrick (Bill), Charles Hicks (Irene), Eugene Hicks (Polly) and Max Hicks (Irene).

A private family graveside service will be held in Rutherford County, and a memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
