Raymond Michael Smith

Raymond Michael Smith, 61, of Greensboro, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022, at Hospice Home in High Point after a two-year battle with lung cancer.

Born October 3, 1960, in Camden, New Jersey, and as a child moved and grew up in Ft Lauderdale, Florida. He was a son of the late Raymond L. Smith and the late Margaret A. Mancini Smith. Mr. Smith was a Safety Coordinator with Hodge Company. He was respected and loved by co-workers for his guidance and work ethic. He had a way of connecting with those that surrounded him to ensure that they knew he cared. He cherished his family and always knew how to make his grandchildren laugh, even if it meant getting in trouble for his comical actions.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Lynn Graham Smith; daughters, Melissa Smith and fiancé Clarence Holloway, and Karen Smith Cavanagh and husband Matthew of Dubuque, IA; brothers, Robert Smith and Michael Smith; sister, Nancy Smith Davidson all of Ft Lauderdale, FL; grandchildren, Isabella Smith, Ryan Cavanagh, and Collin Cavanagh.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Michelle Smith Williams of Ft Lauderdale, FL.
