Raymond Ralph Engler

Raymond “Ray” Ralph Engler, 86, of Oak Ridge, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2026, at Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro.

Born December 7, 1939, in Brinkley, Arkansas to the late Ferdinand Engler and Mildred Juhl Engler. Ray served in the US Air Force and was an Airplane Mechanic for many years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Barbara Bean Engler, and his brother-in-law, Martin Cooper.

He is survived by his; daughter, Katharine Engler and husband Tony Taylor of Wake Forest; grandson, Holden Matthew Taylor; brothers, Virgil Engler (Mary), and Ernie Engler (Brenda); sisters, Linda Wilkins (Bill) and Wanda Cooper; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, June 5, 2026, at Wright Funerals-Cremations, High Point chapel with Rev. CW Moss officiating.

The family will visit with friends following the service.
