Ralph Shultz

James “Ralph” Shultz, 80, of Thomasville, passed away Friday, October 9, 2026, at his home.

Born on January 29, 1946, in Lake City, Tennessee, to Huston and Alice Shultz, who preceded him in death.

Ralph was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather. He shared 61 loving years of marriage with his beloved wife, Jane Pollari Shultz. Together, they built a life centered on family, love, and cherished memories.

Ralph is survived by his beloved wife, Jane Pollari Shultz; his three sons, Kenneth and his wife, Kim; Kevin and his wife, Amy; and Brian and his wife, Jenny; and his two grandsons, Storm and his wife, Kaylyn, and Peyton Curry. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Loraine, and her family in West Virginia, as well as his brother-in-law, Jack Pollari, and sister-in-law, Diana Pollari, and their family in Montana.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Huston and Alice Shultz; his brother, Charles; and his nephew, Allan.

Ralph found happiness in life's simple pleasures. He enjoyed watching sports, especially women's college basketball, old Westerns, and keeping up with people on Facebook. He also had a special weakness for desserts and bread—his kryptonite!

Above all, Ralph took pride in his family. He was content to sit back, watch those he loved, and enjoy seeing them happy. He didn't need to be the center of attention; his greatest joy came from the people around him and the family he helped build.

Ralph's life was rooted in Christian faith, and his love for his family remained central to who he was. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will live on through those who knew him best.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
