Mrs. Rachel McNeill McGee, 96, of Sophia, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Hospice Home at High Point.

Mrs. McGee was born November 19, 1919 in Moore County, the daughter of the late John Robert McNeill and the late Sarah Jordan McNeill. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church.

Surviving are one daughter, Sarah Smith and husband Michael of Sophia; grandchildren, Michael Smith and wife Brittany, Spencer Smith and wife Samantha and Anna Bowick and husband Daniel; great-grandchildren, Payton, Willow and Greyson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Spencer McGee in 2004; son, Thomas McGee and daughter, Linda McGee.

Services will be Sunday, September 18th, 2016 at 10:10 AM at Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church in Archdale, NC. The family will receive friends in the Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church Hut following the service.

The family wants to thank Hospice Home of High Point, for their love and care of Mrs. McGee and the family.
