Priscilla Sewell Rivers

Priscilla Joy Sewell Rivers, 84, of High Point, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2026, at her home with her family by her side.

Born August 6, 1942, in Newton, MA; she was a daughter of the late Hubert Sewell and the late Alice Larson Sewell.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Rivers; son, Kenny Rivers, brother, David Sewell, and sisters, Beverly Columbo, Joan Shaw, and Elizabeth Indelicato.

Priscilla was a selfless friend; she would put others before herself. She won numerous awards for volunteering to help seniors. She took great pride in helping others get to doctor appointments and other places. She truly had a servant’s heart. With a bold personality, she was never at loss for words. She was direct and expressed her opinion freely.

Survived by her daughters, Rebecca Figueira and husband Ray, Cheryl Rivers, and Heather Hill and husband Daniel; sons, Robert Rivers and Earl Rivers; sister, Patricia Panas; nineteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be 2:00PM Wednesday, August 19, 2026, in the Archdale Chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations; 10508 N. Main St, Archdale.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-1:45PM prior to the service.

Burial will be in the Smithfield Cemetery in New Ipswich, NH.
