Phyllis M. Price

Phyllis M. Price, 84, of High Point, passed away Friday, February 28, 2025, at Brookdale Memory Care.

Phyllis was born on February 4, 1941, the 5th child of Joe and Evelyn Uber of Greenville, PA.

Phyllis was the wife of Eldon (Don) Price for 62 years and mother of son, Lorin Price with wife Samia of Kernersville.  A daughter, Beth Price-Pickerel, passed away in 2012.

Phyllis is survived by brother, Norman Uber and wife Nancy, of Brent, Alabama; sister-in-law, Shirley Uber of Greensboro; brother, Larry Uber and wife Wilma of Crossville, TN. and brother, Bob Uber of Leesburg, FL; four grandchildren, Kyley Walley, Dylan Price, Taylor Pickerel and Adam Pickerel.

Phyllis was pre-deceased by two sisters, Joan and Eleanor; and brother, Tom Uber.

Phyllis graduated from Greenville High School in PA. in 1959 and attended Bible College for 2 plus years. Don and Phyllis were married in Cincinnati, OH, on December 18, 1962; lived in Salem, OH for 2 years; lived in Phoenix, AZ. for 7 years before moving to Akron, Ohio.  We then moved to High Point in 1987.  Phyllis worked for a locksmith, sold furniture, served as teacher assistant and worked with Jostens School Pictures. She loved Jesus and was very involved in the Christian Women’s club; MOMS; The Well and Bible Fellowship. Phyllis also team-taught College and Career class at Community Bible Church for some years.  She enjoyed traveling, cruises and spending time with family.

Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Community Bible Church with Rev. Rick Troutman officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
