Pete Cowart

Peter Christopher Cowart, 76, of Jamestown, passed away unexpectedly Monday, September 28, 2026, at his home.

Born June 13, 1950, in High Point; he was a son of the late Roy Cowart and the late Margaret Johnson Cowart.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Hall.

Pete worked in construction building homes. He served in the US Army and was in the 82nd Airborne Division.

Left to cherish his memory; his brother, Jack Cowart and wife Helen of Archdale; sister, Diane Blakely; nephews, Todd Blakely, Burt Blakely (Michelle), and Scott Hall (Toni); and nieces, Sandy Self (Mike); Kamie Zilakakis (Zack), Ashley Case (Bill), and Jennifer Thomas (Jonathan).

A private graveside service will be scheduled at Salisbury National Cemetery.
