Penny Wheeler Long, 66, of Kendall Mill Rd., passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at her home.

Born April 15, 1950 in Tazwell County, VA, she was a daughter of the late Herman Lee Wheeler and the late Daisy Pearl Barrett Wheeler. Ms. Long was a homemaker and of the Bapitst faith.

She is survived by her daughter, Angela Hess Pilot of Oakwood, VA; brothers, Jack Wheeler and wife Donna of Richland, VA, Tommy Wheeler and wife Barbara of Cedar Bluff, VA; sisters, Patsy Wheeler of Thomasville, and Pamela Mullins of High Point; grandchildren, Audrey Estep, Toni Deskins and Heather Pilot; great-granddaughter, Naomi Estep.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Peggy Thompson and Emmileen Vannoy and brother, John Wheeler.

Memorial services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday, August 20, 2016 in Garden Baptist Church, Garden Creek, VA with Rev. Brandon Estep officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.
